The Wildlands Between

Between Anderson Valley and the Pacific Ocean there exists a wild place in the southwest corner of Mendocino County, overlooking Sonoma’s Coasts Annapolis area to the south and the Mendocino coastal town of Gualala to the west. Remote and off the grid, a region populated by more wild boar, bears and lions than people -- Wild and untamed. An endless expanse of redwood and fir forest, timbermen came and went, sheep ranchers did the same, today much of the land is owned and operated by The Conservation Fund and a few large ranches. Electrical lines have never marred the landscape, cell phones are spotty and neighbors are far and few between. This is our home.
